Don’t Fall For It

While the true victims of the fur trade are the animals, the fur industry also victimizes consumers with clever misinformation campaigns, some of which lead people to believe that fur can actually be an ethical choice. Don’t fall for it. Get the scoop on all the industry ‘traps’ used to keep up demand for a brutal, unnecessary product.

The Campaign

The Campaign

Since 1944, we have been working to abolish the commercial fur trade. Fur is making a disturbing comeback in the guise of fur-trimmed jackets, hats, gloves, and boots. The fur industry frequently employs the use of ‘traps’, not only on the animals they catch, but also on unwitting consumers. Find out how we plan to stop them.

Silent Vigil for Victims of the Fur Trade (Toronto)

This is a tribute to the animals who have lost their lives at the hands of the fur trade, either as targeted animals, or as "trash" animals (birds, endangered species, dogs and cats). We invite you to assemble with us, and honour their memory by publicly standing against fur.

Fur Never Fashion Party

To celebrate our biggest anti-fur campaign yet, on Friday December 7th, 2012 we will be throwing the first annual Fur Never Fashion Party. This will be a ticketed event intended to celebrate the launch of our Toronto subway ad campaign, complete with vegan hors d’oeuvres and desserts, as well as live models and art installations. Attendees will also have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for approximately $5000 in prizes. All proceeds will go towards furthering our 2012/2013 campaign efforts.
